PROJECT:
VIBEMATCH
VibeMatch was an app my friend and I developed during a hackathon organized by Cerebras and Cline. The idea behind this app is to speed up and make more efficient the connection between content creators and sponsors. Here is our original pitch:
“VibeMatch is an app designed to revolutionize the way content creators and sponsors connect. Even today, this process remains somewhat outdated: most brand-creator partnerships still begin through emails and scattered communications. Our goal is to streamline these interactions, enabling both content creators and brands to connect more efficiently, collaborate more seamlessly, and ultimately build authentic, lasting partnerships that drive real impact.”
Creating the demo video was just as much fun as creating the app itself. For that video, I mainly used Adobe After Effects. My inspiration clearly came from Apple’s ad ‘Don’t Blink’ (I’m passionate about how brilliant Apple is at marketing and advertising, and it influences some of my own creative work). It took me about three full days to set up the video.
The text effects were entirely made in After Effects, while the interface sequences were recorded with OBS and then placed in a 3D space using After Effects. The 18th-century man at the beginning of the video was fully generated with AI (Google Veo). The final assembly of the video was done in Premiere Pro.
The most challenging part was syncing the effects with the audio to create an immersive experience, and deciding which features to highlight in the video and which ones to leave out.
We ended up in the top 5 of this hackathon, yay!
